Christmas treasures

Hello all! I hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas or a wonderful week if you don't celebrate it. Today I thought I would show you a few of my favourite goodies I recieved for Christmas.

Rookie yearbook two, The fashion book, Alexa Chung's IT, japanese bear tights, Howl's moving castle anime movie, The great gatsby, Mac lip gloss set & Japanese tin.

My brother bought me this super cute japanese tin which I LOVE.

I am so obsessed with these Kawaii bear tights and I have wanted them for SO long! I can't wait to style them in an outfit post for you all!

And finally, a cheeky mirror selfie to show you my main present, which is a new camera! It's the Nikon D3200. This means my outfit photos and other photography is going to improve majorly quality wise! I have already shot some photos for future posts and I can't wait to share them with you all. I am so grateful for everything I received. I would say I did my first proper post this Summer and Lexi Likes started this year, so I want to thank you all for reading and commenting!

What is your favourite thing you got for Christmas if you celebrate it?

Skull city

As a young child,  I went through a sort of punk phase where I listened to Avril Lavigne (so hardcore punk I know) dressed all in black and wore huge combat boots and fishnet gloves. This means whenever I see anything remotely gothic, I immediately feel connected haha. That's why I love this skull jumper so much which I bought last year. I couldn't not pair it with some sort of tartan, so I opted for this Urban Outfitters skirt which I love the shape of. I am sort of craving another pair of combat boots though, as the ones I used to have went all the way up to my knees and I think they would look pretty cute with this outfit. This phase actually led me to some of my favourite bands today though, like Paramore, Green day, My chemical romance and the Ramones. But I am not ashamed to say that I  have all Avril Lavigne albums still on my phone. ^_^. I also really love the lipstick I'm wearing here, and have been wearing it non-stop. It seems to be the only festive item I have been sporting and it's Rimmel Kate Moss 107. And for bonus points, it's matte - which I love for lip colours.

Christmas shopping

Yesterday I went out and did the last of my Christmas shopping. I took my camera with me and took some photos although they aren't incredibly festive. But I did scavenge through some cool vintage stores and old book stores so here are some photos of my day.

Is it weird that I really want this type writer?

Have you done all of your Christmas shopping yet?

MEH

Aloha, it's nice to see you again. Apologies for the lack of posts this past week but I had to deal with the pain of the last week of school and all that goes with it (last minute tests, essays and general school-ness ugh). I have also been ill so I haven't worn anything more exciting than pajamas. But I'm back with a little outfit post! I went to see Catching Fire today - FINALLY - and enjoyed it thoroughly. I have read the book so I vaguely knew what happened but I had sort of forgotten how it ends and lots of details. This meant I went through the emotional roller coaster all over again. I am still sort of sick so I didn't feel like wearing anything too fancy. I went for my new MEH jumper from a vintage stall at the Clothes show live and some high waisted black skinny jeans from M&S. If you like the Joni topshop jeans or American Apparel's ones then I would definitely recommend these to you! They are so similar and much cheaper. I also wore my homemade pom pom crown. I have been loving these sort of Meadham Kirchhoff/Tavi Gevinson crowns lately and have made so many! I am going to take some proper photos of them all soon for a future post. Speaking of Meadham Kirchhoff, who else is excited for their collection for topshop?

Clothes show live 2013

Oh hai. I went to the Clothes show live on Sunday with Pascale for the first time ever and it was very fun. I did my best and tried to take some good pictures of the fashion theatre show but the lighting kept changing and my camera didn't want to focus so here are the best ones I have. I loved the theatre show and the combination of models and dancers worked so well. The music act wasn't really my taste but I loved the rest. The shopping was amazing, especially the vintage stalls - there were so many! I bought some lovely things at some great prices - I bought a jacket, jumper and dress for a 3 for £10 deal (it was insane). I also have some photos of the BINTM live show which was easier to photograph.

There was one particular stall I made sure to take a picture of and it was this 'Pretty Nostalgia' one. It had creative customizing workshops going on all day and was overall very cute-looking.  I actually bought one of their little head band making packs (£2), in which contained some ribbons, lace and a plain headband. It reminded me of how Tavi and Petra make similar crowns which I have been obsessed with lately. I think it's a lovely idea and everyone has different materials and will therefore create something unique.

Finally, here are my photos from the BINTM live show.

In the show they did a whole section on pastel pinks, which if you are a regular reader you know I am currently loving for A/W. I particularly love the below furry poncho!

Wow that was a lot of photos. Did you go to the clothes show?
