Meeting an internet friend in real life has to be one of the weirdest experiences I have ever had. Reading someone's blog every week, and emailing them about your life and theirs forms a personal connection. You feel like you know them, and would classify them as a friend. But then when you actually meet them in real life, it's simultaneously like meeting a brand new person. Earlier this week, I met up with Mattie, who I've been talking to for over a year now. It was so odd to see Mattie actually moving and talking considering up until now I'd only ever seen her in her blog pictures. We both were in a state of giddy shock and agreed how weird it is to meet someone you befriended online.
