snow way

Lexi wears:

Dress - M&S
Fleece tights - Sweden
Boots - Mum's
Coat - Stolen from Dad
Galaxy ring - gift
Sunnies - France

I'm currently writing from the crisp white peaks of the Italian Alps, where flakes of snow are settling all around. I've spent the last few days gliding down the perfectly groomed pistes of the idyllic mountains. This is the first time I've been skiing since I was around 9, so it's been an adjustment. My feet ache and I'm very tired, but the surroundings are incredibly beautiful. I thought I'd share a snow-proof outfit with you, featuring my Dad's cosy jacket and my Mum's snow boots (practicality is important when it's icy). This gorgeous galaxy ring was a birthday gift from my friend Aliya, and it's like I've literally got the world in my hands. The oversized sweater dress was bought by means of necessity (I have no warm clothes) and it's insanely comfortable. And of course when its sunny, I have to wear my obnoxiously round glasses.

Happy Easter lovelies.

Long flannel shirt - Urban Outfitters
Hoodie -  stolen from my brother
Baseball tee (underneath) - Boohoo
Leather panel leggings - Calzedonia
Boots - Thrifted

I present to you a chill Sunday outfit post at the end of what's been a stressful week. I've been working on my history coursework essay, thrown a surprise party for one of my friends and I'm preparing for an upcoming MUN conference with my school. I've got just over one week left until the Easter holidays, yet I'm busier than ever.

On a separate note I went to see Insurgent today! I'm obsessed with the Divergent books so it was really cool to see the second one come to life. I think it was a fairly decent adaptation of the book, and I'm really curious to see what they do with the next one.

I'm now going to eat leftover caterpiller cake (M&S classic) and listen to some Fleetwood Mac.  Sayounara.

Swinging in the snow

T-shirt (underneath) - not sure
Trapeze dress - Zara
Tights - Calzedonia
Boots - Thrifted
Rings - all H&M or hand me downs
Nails - Topshop

Happy Christmas Eve lovelies! I hope you're all eating lots of chocolate and if you don't celebrate Christmas, well I still hope you're having a wonderful day. I have another outfit from Sweden, which is rather festive due to the snow and elements of red, so I thought I'd save it for today. My mum bought me this really cool Trapeze dress from Zara as a pre-Christmas gift and I love the unique shape. It's also very fitting with the '60s vibe I'm obsessed with at the moment. The burgundy tights tie in with the red on the collar of the dress perfectly. My nail polish was a Secret Santa gift from my friend Izzy, and it's actually matt, so it's quite a quirky twist on your standard colour.

Once again, Merry Christmas all!

Woodland velvet

Kimono - Zara
Leather panel leggings - Calzedonia
Boots - Thrifted
Shirt - not sure
Rings - H&M

I have returned from Sweden! This outfit doesn't have a lot of colour but I love the different textures. I picked up these leather panel leggings from a shop called Calzedonia a few weeks ago and I love them so much. As you may or may not no, I'm not a big jeans fan, so these are a really cool alternative. I paired them with this stunning velvet kimono that my mum actually found in Zara. It's so intricate and the detail is beautiful. I especially love the way all the colours in the kimono match the trees in these pictures! I'm currently obsessed with Twin Peaks and the landscape in Sweden was scarily similar, so it was basically like I was living in it, which was amazing.

I'm really excited for the next ten days or so because I'm going to be posting almost every other day leading up to Christmas!

Canary Wharf

These photos are from when I spent the morning exploring and taking pictures in Canary Wharf, which visually is the closest thing to Manhattan in London. I took pictures for my current art GCSE project - a David Hockney Joiner inspired photo collage. I'm a city girl, and happiest in the bustle of loud streets. There is just a great drive and atmosphere of New York that's incomparable to anywhere else. But since I can't just fly there whenever, I went to the closest thing London had to offer.

Jacket - Dorothy Perkins
Dress - Topshop
Spotty top (underneath dress) - New Look
Boots - Clarks
Glasses - Primark

London is such a diverse city and I'm so lucky to live here. Each area has a totally different vibe and you are always a tube ride away from something new. Canary Wharf is a business district in East London filled with reflective buildings, men and women in suits and surrounded by water. It definitely has character.

Exploring the Scottish National Gallery

One day in Scotland, Alice and I decided to take the train down to Edinburgh where we ate mountains of pasta in this quaint Italian place and sketched in the National gallery. It was a day well spent.

These were all pieces by Steven Campbell. I loved the way that each one was it's own fictional universe and the aesthetic of the magical creatures and faded water colours was so pleasing.

The gallery was pretty cool and here's what I wore for our day of adventuring.

Jumper - topshop
Playsuit - Asos
Tights - (borrowed) topshop
Boots - Charity shop
Jacket (<3) - borrowed

Alice lent me these amazing sparkly blue tights and I borrowed the jacket from her lovely Aunt. I actually became really attached to it by the end of the trip and if any of you know where I could get something similar I would really appreciate it! Autumn means the season of expert layering is upon us, so I went for this really sweet jumper which has a chiffon layer over the top and paired it with my black playsuit.

I'm currently getting really excited for Christmas (I know it's early for lots of people but I LOVE the festive season) and binge watching the Mindy Project and a new favourite anime, Nisekoi. I also can't stop listening to this song:

Hope you are all well!

All good things are wild and free

The title is some artsy stupid quote I found on Tumblr, but this outfit shoot is from the most beautiful forest in Martha's Vineyard so I thought it was appropriate. These trees were everywhere and the view from my bedroom window was always stunning.

Jacket - thrifted
Dress - DIY/customised

So this amazing denim bomber jacket was found in a Thrift shop on the island and it was so nice to throw on in the evenings. I love the red detailing, it gives a classic item such a nice twist. American thrift shops are one of my favourite things, and if you haven't yet seen my haul, watch at the end of this post or click HERE. The dress was originally white, long and my Mum's. But she handed it down to me and I decided to get a little creative. I tie dyed it with a subtle sky blue colour, so if you look closely it really does look like scattered clouds across the dress. I then had it hemmed at a cheap tailor to create this unique '60s mini!

^Slightly awkward close up to show you the tie dye^

As promised here is my thrift haul video with the wonderful Alice.

Meanwhile I have started school once again and so far it's not too shabby. I literally can't wait to start doing art coursework.

fancy pants

Title to be read in a sarcastic American accent (or not it's up to you really).

These outfit pictures were taken in an adorable old town in Mallorca called Pollenca. It was unbearably hot, hence the lack of jewellery and layering but I think this outfit is actually pretty cool.

Top - Forever 21
Trousers - Urban renewal range at UO (restyled vintage)
Sandals - Next
Flower crown - Boutique in Pollenca
Sunglasses - Primark

Firstly, I am so in love with my new Next flip flops/sandals. The holographic band across the front is so cool. The flower crown I found in a sweet Boutique in the town which also sold the most beautiful jewellery. I'm so happy about my sunglasses. I bought them to replace a pair I had last year which broke. I don't really buy much from Primark because (a) I like things to not break within the first week of buying them and (b) I don't agree with the way their clothes are produced. But I had to make an exception for these wonderful hippy shades as they are my all time favourite shape. Here are some other photos from around the town!

This was taken at the top of this giant staircase. And yes, I did climb every single one of those steps right from the bottom. I was nearly dead by the end of it.

It was so pretty and since we were there in Fiesta week, there was this beautiful white confetti and bunting hung up all over.

Have you guys been anywhere this Summer?
